Why India

India suffers as the world’s capital of congenital heart disease accounting for more than 50% of the world’s population of children and adults with CHD Over 200,000 children are born each year with congenital heart disease in India.

Inadequate paediatric cardiac care in India is marked by a shortage of qualified medical staff and specialised facilities, healthcare is both inaccessible and unaffordable for many. Limited access in urban areas and low household incomes make essential treatments like heart surgery financially out of reach for the majority.

Is there Hope?

In 2012, a paediatric cardiac hospital opened in Naya Raipur, Chattisgarh, India, offering free treatment for children with congenital heart disease. It runs screening programs in rural areas and supports pregnant women with medical care and supplements. Similar hospitals followed in Palwal, Delhi (2016) and Navi Mumbai (2018). We’re dedicated to aiding these hospitals through awareness, financial support, and volunteer programs.
